ABOUT OUR BAND
The Lely High School Band Program, established in 1975 has a history of excellence and success in Naples, Florida. Currently under the direction of Mr. Joseph Riedl, the program consists of a concert ensemble, jazz band, marching band, and color guard.
Marching Band
The Lely High School "Trojan Marching Band" is the largest sprit ensemble on campus providing spirit and music during football games and pep rallies. The band also performs and participates in District 18 Marching Band Assessments as well as local FMBC Marching Competitions.
Concert Ensembles
Lely High School is hoping to have two concert ensembles in 2024: our Symphonic Band and Concert Band. Our band program works to develop a strong musical knowledge as well as an understanding and appreciation of their instruments. This is a performance based ensemble and classes, students will be required to attend rehearsals and concerts outside the school day.

Jazz Band
Lely High School's Jazz Band is an additional ensemble students may have the opportunity to participate in on top of being in the regular band classes. Students work to develop an understanding of improvisation and jazz studies while strengthening their musical ear. This is a performance based ensemble and class, students will be required to attend rehearsals and concerts outside the school day.
Color Guard
The Lely Color Guard is a dance based performance ensemble. Students work with other members of the marching band to put on performances and participate in events with District 18 Marching MPA and Solo and Ensemble. This is a performance based ensemble and class, students will be required to attend rehearsals and concerts outside the school day.
